UPPSC exam dates rescheduled
UPPSC reschedules three key recruitment exams
The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has rescheduled three recruitment exams because of the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Police constable re-exam. This re-exam will be held from August 23 to 31, 2024, by the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB).
New exam dates announced
Initially, the Homeopathic Medical Officer and Homeopathic Residential Medical Officer Screening Exams were set for August 25, according to UPPSC's annual exam calendar released on June 3. However, due to the police re-exam, these tests have now been moved. The Homeopathic Medical Officer exam will take place on September 15, and the Homeopathic Residential Medical Officer exam is rescheduled for September 18.
Similarly, the Assistant City Planner (Main) Exam, originally planned for September 15, will now be conducted on September 25.
Police re-exam details
The rescheduling was necessary because the UP Police constable exams, held earlier this year on February 17 and 18, had to be canceled due to a question paper leak. Over 48 lakh candidates had appeared for the exams, which were conducted in four shifts. The UP government ordered the exams to be rescheduled within six months, leading to the current changes.
The new police constable exams will be held in two shifts on August 23, 24, 25, 30, and 31, 2024. The shifts will run from 10 am to 12 noon and 2 pm to 5 pm.
Despite these changes, the Medical Officer Unani Screening Exam-2023 will proceed as planned on October 6, 2024. The revised dates for the other exams are now available on the official UPPSC website.
